The Album
I chose to keep the face of the artists hidden to add suspense and build a sense of anticipation as to who they are due to the fact that they're a new and upcoming pop-rock band. The sheen of light coming through conveys that they're new and fresh. The album is called "The Beginning" which also ties n with the tour. The representation of their music are shown through the guitar and the drumsticks.

The Tour Dates
I've also, again, kept the faces hidden but this time to keep up anticipation to actually see them at the tour. It also shows how without having to see the face you can recognize who each person is due to the amount of fame they have achieved. The style of each poster is identical except for the actual image, even the images are similar in how its took to show that they are from the same band. The change of colors for each poster also change depending on the different person in the picture to represent them.

Leaflet/Flyer
In this flyer I have advertised the bands name by putting their band name bang in the middle. It is slanted to show their rebellious and loud sound as the slant gives an appearance of it being slammed onto the poster. The background picture is of the band, but i faded it and blurred it so it doesn't take away from the words and they're visible.

Logo Research

I have chosen to do Brief Three, on N-tunes record about a new music band.  The research is on band logos as a start to create our own.

This music label has a black and white logo in the representation of ying and yang, with silhouettes of two heads listening to music. This is effective as music is known for “harmony” and the element of ying and yang makes it memorable. The monotone colours convey its classic music and by keeping it simple it shows that it’s not raunchy or loud music.

The music label also has a black and white label with the letter ‘R’ enlarged. It also has a rustic effect. This is effective as it’s associated with genres of rock music and the grunge effect portrays the music type. The colours of black and white in this case gives a dark, intense look which can be associated with rock music. The enlargement of the letter ‘R’ makes rise records memorable as it stands out with starting letter.

The band this logo belongs to is ‘sleeping with sirens’. The main part of their logo is the anchor which can be represented in many ways: their music anchors people to this world as their music is about human emotions and life. It could also be that their music is grounding. The colours of grey and black also keeps in with rock theme as they’re dark and monotone colours. It appeals to their audience of teenagers/ young adults as the writing style is comical and laid back.

The band logo belongs to ‘Of Mice & Men’.  The main part of their logo is the large ‘&’ sign which connects it all together. It’s a simple sign that’s been used by many people for a long time making it easy and memorable to use.  The rustic effect adds to the rock theme so it portrays their genre of music. It is also in black which seems to be the running theme for rock bands. The type of writing shows that their target audience may be young adults as the name of the band/logo is of a novella for that same target audience, however with the darker look it also shows that they’d have to be more mature.

The band logo this belongs to is ‘Bring Me The Horizon’. The target audience for this band would again be teenagers but for those who are into metal core music and this is conveyed through the writing style. The effect on this is a grunge, withering, edgy effect which portrays their style of music of metal core. The slant in the writing portrays the ‘Horizon’ in the title which makes it memorable. The colour used is black which conveys the theme of rock music as it’s the typical portrayal of it.

The band this logo belongs to is ‘Pierce The Veil’. The style of writing has a very emo-couture look as one side it looks classic but has a rock effect to it. This portrays their music as they have a typical rock sound, so its ‘classic’ rock music. The colour black also adds to the rock theme. The pointing/ arching letters represent the ‘pierce’ as it gives it an edgy look. It is appealing to their target audience of teenagers, especially females, as it has a gothic-romanticized look which also portrays their songs.

This band logo belongs to ‘Breathe Carolina’. Their style of music is ‘electro-rock’ which is fairly represented in the logo. The bright funky colours represent the electro/pop side of their music.  The a-lined writing style gives it an edge which is true to their rock side. The logo of the diamond in place for the ‘O’ makes it memorable and could represent the quality of their music. The logo is appealing to its target audience of teenagers, mostly teenage girls. The diamond is a ‘girl’s best friend’ and the bright colours is more appealing to the female gender.

As the majority of the logos are in black and white, this could represent that their music is about love, heartbreak, sadness, all in all actual emotions, and things that occur in real life. The specific colours are usually associated with such emotions.
